John's career began with a period designing and developing software for high performance, real-time industrial control systems.  His experience led him into a research / analysis role where he specialised in issues relating to the operational use and management of advanced military communications systems.  In 1991, John established SyntheSys, which has since become one of the UK's leading providers of tactical communications and systems engineering consultancy services.

Kathryn is a proactive and dynamic manager with experience in strategic policy development, analysis, planning and key programme delivery.  She has worked with international organisations, government departments, and civil / military committees, demonstrating adaptable and innovative capacity.
